Bob -- About

         Bob interviewing SC Wildlife Staff

Bob Pingleton, Owner of Northcon Teleproductions, Inc. (www.northcon.tv), Bob Pingleton's American Outdoors,Inc (nowclosed) and Owner/Creator of  "The Dodge Everyday  Sportsman Show" (www.everydaysportsman.tv), grew up in the Oregon Outdoors learning his hunting/fishing skills and working in the logging camps throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Joining the US Air Force after High School, Bob was sent to camera school in Denver, Colorado, where he received his first taste for camera and video work.  After some years in the Air force, Bob returned to Oregon State College graduating in Business and Forestry.  He then worked in the Logging Industry and Plywood Companies through out Oregon and on to South Carolina as a supervisor and plant superintendent.  However, from his time working with cameras in the Air Force, Bob never lost his interest in producing  hunting/fishing shows for television and has established several TV Production Corporations in the Southeast to accomplish this goal.

Moving to Newberry, South Carolina in the early '70s to start a Plywood mill for Georgia Pacific Corp., Bob met his wife Grace, and together they formed several corporations of video productions.  In the middle '70s Bob combined all the corporations together into Northcon Teleproductions, Inc. and began to buy top grade video equipment and hire experienced video employees.  He then started video taping many of the local hunters and fishermen for a tv show that was to be named The Everyday Sportsman and highlighted the normal everyday outdoors people.  There was alot of interest in the potential show, so Bob copyrighted the name in hopes that they could get backing for the production.   In 1986, Bob formed Bob Pingleton's American Outdoors  and ran a National Fishing Tournament Trail, with 47 TV Shows across the USA and around the world.  Shortly after this, Bob began to look for more top quality video people to help him produce top grade TV shows.

In 1999, John Ezell from Atlanta, GA. was hired as Production Manager and also to run the Editing for Northcon Teleproductions,Inc.  WithJohn  and Bob working together, the company began to improve it's looks and  the quality of the video work.    Bob also began to purchase the newer, smaller  and much better digital Cameras,  plus the higher-end Digital Editing  equipment to make it easier for John to  put the many TV Shows together as Director/Producer.  Northcon now has two Digital Editing Suites for editing TV Shows, Plus other editing Suites.

Finally, early  in 2001, Bob hired Tom Rodgers as show Host for his Copywrited TV show "The Everyday Sportsman"  with Bob  handling the camera work and editing chores for the TV shows.  Finally, Bob's dream of The Everyday Sportsman TV Show was ready to hit the airways under the name of THE DODGE EVERYDAY SPORTSMAN TV SHOW.  The show has been well received throughout the S. East on cable and the rest of the USA on Satellite.  In 2004, Tom 's Cancer did not seem to be stopped or slowed down, so he resigned from the Show Host in May, and Bob  replaced him with 7 other Co-Hosts who are experts in the Outdoors.  .

Bob has started to change the format of the show slightly to make use of the great bunch of Co-Hosts.  These Co-Hosts are all experts in Outdoor Clothing, Rifles. Archery, Shotguns, Outdoor Equipment, & Turkey/Deer  Management.  (See the page  written for the Co-Hosts). This new format will give The Dodge Everyday Sportsman TV Show a wider range  of subjects and better area coverage.  The Basic format of the show will remain the same...only better, with a fresher outlook.
